just purchased a new PC, will my old scanner still work?
Most likley your new PC will only have USB ports. If you have a scanner with a USB cable then the old scanner will work on the new Computer. If you have a scanner with a PS2 cable then you will need a new cable. No driver needed. If your Scanner is PS2 Style a your new PC has a PS2 connector then connect the old scanner will work.
